Start your journey to creating a fulfilling, meaningful & joyful life by adopting an Ayurvedic plant-based, sustainable diet and lifestyle.

"

With so much conflicting advice out there on what a healthy diet and lifestyle should look or feel like, I understand how it can be challenging to make informed and sustainable decisions and create lasting change.

You are not unusual for not sticking to your healthy habits, whether it’s healthy eating, regular yoga practice or lifestyle changes. You are a human with many commitments and duties.

You are probably reading this, because you are interested in learning about and exploring Ayurveda, or maybe you have been trying some practices and tools of Ayurveda already and you are ready to go deeper.

Either way, you probably want to feel more connected to your True Self, feel more balanced and at peace, so that you have more energy to do what you truly enjoy and are passionate about.

But you might be thinking that you just don’t have the time to cook healthy food, have a regular yoga practice or exercise, or spend more time in nature.

But what if, instead of spending time scrolling down social media feeds first thing in the morning, perhaps you could use that time to meditate even for 5 minutes?

What if, instead of watching another series on Netflix in the evening, perhaps you could practice some restorative yoga so that you can sleep better?

The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga teaches you that eating the right food and living a balanced lifestyle is the foundation of Dharma – your life purpose, because if you are physically unwell, you may not have the energy to pursue your other goals in life.

Understanding the mind and developing self-awareness through Yoga practice is also important as if you are psychologically unwell, you may become demotivated and could make poor decisions, which may cause you to deviate from your true path.

This is why Ayurvedic living is an important part of creating a fulfilling, meaningful & joyful life!

I FEEL RESTED, I HAVE ENERYGY WHEN GETTING UP, AND I GET DAILY ROUTINES ACCOMPLISHED.

Before starting the course, my stomach was bloated, gassy, and felt heavy. I often snacked or ate fatty foods throughout the day and before going to bed, and the following day I felt tired and had no energy. I didn’t have the motivation to do my daily routines.

After going through this course, I’ve been eating foods according to my Doshas and I now feel rested, I have energy when getting up, and I get daily routines accomplished!

Vanessa (United States)

Before starting the course, I went to bed late and ate a cold breakfast in the morning. I was cold and tired. I also had a shift job and never felt that I was getting enough rest.

After going through the course, I am feeling less cold and I have more energy. I have also started to listen more to myself and my needs.

I also changed the job that I’m passionate about, with regular times and no work in the evenings so that I can go to bed earlier. I am grateful towards myself that I took the step to move forward!.

Klara (Sweden)

UNDERSTANDING MY DOSHA HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!

Being aware of my Dosha means that I understand how the pandemic is impacting my particular tendency to get angry and impatient as a stress response.

Just knowing this helps give me the space to reflect before I react.

FREQUENTLY ANSWERED QUESTIONS

Your most popular questions answered!

Below is a list of the most common questions I’ve been asked. If for some reason you don’t see your question, just email Risa at info@risakawamoto.com and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours!

I'm new to Ayurveda. Can I still join the Pathway to Sattva course?

Pathway to Sattva was created for those who are completely new to Ayurveda in mind! The first section – The Basics of Ayurveda will enable you to gain a basic understanding of Ayurveda and the 3 Doshas which you can implement in your daily life straight away!

You can also ask any questions either inside the course portal (there is a comment section within each lesson) or via email at info@risakawamoto.com!

I'm a complete newbie to Yoga. Can I still join the Pathway to Sattva course?

Yes you can! There are Yoga videos (with clear instructions!) inside the Pathway to Sattva course for you to practice from the comfort of your own home. If you have any questions regarding any Yoga poses or creating your own Yoga practice, you can reach out to Risa inside the course portal (there is a comment section within each lesson) or via email at info@risakawamoto.com.

I would also encourage you to take an in-person Yoga class at least once a week if you have never practiced Yoga before, as I won’t be able to give you hands-on adjustments online and it’s useful to have an experienced teacher to guide you when you are a complete newbie to Yoga!

I’m a Yoga teacher and want to learn more about Ayurveda and Ayurvedic diet. Is this course right for me? And will the hours be counted towards Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) Continuing Education (CE) requirement for the Yoga Alliance credential(s)?

Pathway to Sattva is suitable for those interested in learning more about Ayurveda, Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle and want to integrate both Yoga & Ayurveda into their daily lives.

You won’t be able to count the hours towards Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) Continuing Education (CE) requirement for the Yoga Alliance credential(s). However, of course you are welcome to share your experience and promote Ayurveda with your students and community!

If you are interested in becoming an affiliate of Pathway to Sattva, please get in touch with Risa at info@risakawamoto.com.

Integrating Ayurveda practices into my already busy life feels overwhelming... How much time do I require if I want to see the results?

From my own experience and results I hear from my existing students, the more you bring Ayurveda into your daily life, the less you feel overwhelmed and stressed as you start to balance your Dosha.

Also you have a lifetime access to Pathway to Sattva so you don’t need to rush to complete it. If you can commit 1-2 lessons each week (each lesson is usually between 15 and 30 minutes) to go through the course and implement what you learnt into your life, you can begin to feel more balanced.

Do I have any support available if I have questions or get stuck?

If you have any questions as you go through the program, you can ask them inside the course portal. There is a comment section within each lesson and I will get back to you within 48 hours!

You can also book coaching sessions with Risa for further support and guidance at an extra cost. If you are interested in coaching please feel free to email Risa at info@risakawamoto.com.
