Fresh Mint Tea

Mint tea is a great summer drink. It tastes great, has no caffeine and can be drunk hot or ideally cold. It’s great for cooling down during the Pitta summer period.

Mint is so easy to grow – why not buy a plant, water it well and you will have tea throughout the summer! They are a great window ledge plant, so no need for a garden.
I always make enough for a few cups – so I can put it in the fridge and enjoy an ice cold mint tea later in the day.
The type of mint is less important – have a play and see what you like the best.
Remember to let me know what you prefer!
Ingredients
Around 5 – 7 mint leaves per cup (more if the leaves are small).
Boiling water
Method
Collect your mint fresh from the plant.
Rip or cut the leaves roughly.
Pour just-boiled water onto leaves and stand for around 3-5 minutes.
Strain the leaves out and drink either hot or let the tea cool and then place in the fridge for later.
Enjoy!
