End of Year Yoga & Meditation Gratitude Workshop

It’s easy to forget that most of us have so many reasons to be grateful, especially when everything feels so uncertain in the current world we live in.

But the end of the year is a perfect time to reflect on the past year, cultivate gratitude and be present as we welcome the new year.

So roll out your Yoga mat and grab your favorite journal and a pen and join us for my End of Year Yoga & Meditation Gratitude Workshop!

We’ll be starting with Pranayama and then Yoga Asana. We’ll then end with a gratitude meditation and a short journaling exercise.

Mudra used in this class:

Padma Mudra – a Mudra for the Fourth Chakra, the Heart chakra (Anahata Chakra).

Padma means “lotus,” and Padma mudra directs breath, awareness and energy into the front of the chest and helps cultivate a sense of lightness and openness.

As the heart chakra opens, we are able to embrace and appreciate life with enthusiasm and optimism, and allow us to live in the present moment more fully.

The opening of the heart chakra cultivates its essential qualities of gratitude, compassion and communion, leading to unconditional love.

How to practice Padma Mudra:

1. Bring the palms together at heart centre.

2. While keeping the base of the palms, as well as the little fingers and thumbs together, open the middle, ring, and index fingers wide apart in the shape of an unfolding lotus.

3. Roll the shoulders back and down, with the elbows held slightly away from the body and the spine naturally aligned.
