Creating a Solid Foundation for Your Dharma – Life Purpose
Do you sometimes ask yourself what your true purpose in life is?
Or do you often have these lingering feelings that you could be doing something better in your life?
Like having a job that is more meaningful and fulfilling.
Or working for a company that you are really passionate about and a cause you believe in.
Or spending more time doing something you love and that brings you joy and fulfillment.
I had these feelings for many years in the past.
I spent many hours looking for potential training and courses that may get me a job that I actually wanted.
I spent hours, weeks & months going on courses only to realise that I didn’t really enjoy the subject.
And I also spent many hours looking for jobs and spending more hours writing job applications.
But what I didn’t realise is that instead of just changing jobs, hoping that this time it would be better or enrolling into training and courses hoping that this may be the area that I’m going to finally enjoy…
I needed to create a solid foundation first. To have a healthy, balanced mind and body – so that I had a clear mind to actually make the right decisions for myself, and have the energy to take action.
This is why in my online course and 1:1 coaching, we begin with discovering your Dosha – Ayurvedic mind-body type so that we can establish the right diet, lifestyle and Yoga practice to balance your Dosha and create a foundation.
If you don’t know your Dosha – your Ayurvedic mind-body type, take my Dosha quiz to discover your Dosha and receive your free Dosha guide which includes an introduction to Ayurveda and some practical tips & advice on which foods, lifestyle habits and Yoga poses are best for your specific Ayurvedic mind-body type!
Creating a Foundation for Your Dharma
Many people often jump right into searching for their new job, passion or potential training hoping for a career change. Or start doing something on the side like starting their own business, without creating a solid foundation.
Or quitting their current job altogether before they even have a solid foundation or a plan.
Eating the right diet and living a balanced lifestyle for your Dosha is the foundation of Dharma – your life purpose.
Because if you are physically unbalanced, you may not have the energy to pursue your goals in life. That is not to say that those of us with longer-term health conditions cannot find that balance either – it might just take us a bit more effort.
Similarly, your Yoga practice can help you understand how your mind works and help develop self-awareness.
This is also important as if you are psychologically unwell, you may become demotivated and could make poor decisions, which may cause you to deviate from your true path.
This is why Ayurvedic living is an important part of Dharmic living.
